Senior Corporate Finance Manager - International

Overview

Corporate Finance is a strategic partner to Instacart’s executive team, providing insights that guide critical decisions and capital allocation. We lead forecasting, performance tracking, budgeting, and long‑term financial planning across the company.

We are seeking a Manager to join our fast‑paced Corporate Finance team as the finance lead for Instacart’s International expansion. In this role, you will partner closely with cross‑functional leaders to evaluate new market opportunities, support key strategic decisions, and own forecasting and business planning for our International initiatives. You will develop financial models, assess investment trade‑offs, and provide clear recommendations to senior leadership. This role offers high visibility and the opportunity to directly influence Instacart’s global growth strategy.

About the Job

• Serve as the primary finance partner for Instacart’s International expansion, owning end‑to‑end financial forecasting, business planning, and performance management for new and emerging markets.


• Partner closely with cross‑functional leaders (e.g., Product, Operations, Strategy, Legal, Policy) to evaluate market entry opportunities, assess investment trade‑offs, and provide clear recommendations that shape Instacart’s global growth strategy.


• Build and refine complex financial models to support scenario planning in a highly ambiguous environment, enabling the executive team to make fast, data‑driven decisions.


• Develop actionable insights by analyzing market dynamics, unit economics, and operational performance across countries; highlight risks, surface opportunities, and drive accountability with senior stakeholders.


• Thrive in a fast‑paced and constantly evolving environment, establishing structure where needed while adapting processes, forecasts, and recommendations as the International landscape rapidly changes.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field


• 6+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, or another analytical field, with demonstrated financial acumen and a track record of driving measurable business impact


• High proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data‑driven decision support


• Strong attention to detail, with excellent project management and organizational skills


• Clear, polished communication skills with proven experience presenting to and influencing executives


• Ability to build trusted partnerships with cross‑functional stakeholders at all levels


• Self‑starter mindset with the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and navigate ambiguity with confidence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FP&A, Corporate or Strategic Finance, investment banking, investing, consulting, equity research, or data science/analytics


• Prior experience working in consumer marketplace or technology-driven businesses


• Experience operating in a public company environmentInterest in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve workflows, efficiency, and insights


• Proficiency in SQL or other analytical query languages


• Ability to work from our San Francisco or New York City office on occasion

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here.
