What we built, and why
Most people get one or two real interviews per application and no rehearsal. The advice that exists — use STAR, be specific, quantify — is easy to read and hard to do under pressure. VirtualInterview.ai exists so you can run the round before the round: an interviewer that asks, listens, follows up on what you said, and then tells you exactly which answers were thin and why.
How a session works
A session is one mock interview from setup to report. You describe the round, answer each question by voice or text, handle follow-ups, and then read a report that scores every answer.
- You choose the role, seniority, focus area and format (general, technical, behavioral, recruiter screen, system design, managerial, case study, technical assessment, leadership, panel, salary negotiation, final / executive), name the company if there is one, and pick the question language from 50+ languages.
- The interviewer asks the questions planned for the session's length (free: your first session runs full length, later ones are 5-minute sessions; Pro picks Short, Medium or Long), by voice or text, and follows up on your actual answer (up to 2 follow-ups on free, 10 on Pro).
- Every answer is scored for relevance, depth, clarity against the round's rubric. The report explains each score and ends with a retry plan for the weakest answers.
What we deliberately do not do
VirtualInterview.ai does not feed you answers during a real interview. Tools that whisper answers into a live call are against most employers' rules and teach nothing. In video practice there is no facial-expression, eye-contact or posture analysis — the camera is only your self-view; answers are scored on what you said, and delivery feedback is speech-based: speaking pace, filler words (in English answers) and pauses, measured from your spoken answer.

The report explains what each score is based on and ends with a retry plan for the weakest answers, so you can re-answer and compare.
Does VirtualInterview.ai serve employers?
Not on this site. The product is for individuals practising for their own interviews and conversations. Structured screening for hiring teams is a separate portal at https://hiring.virtualinterview.ai/.
