We're looking for an experienced Senior People Services Specialist to join our People Services team. Reporting to the Manager of People Services, you'll be responsible for:
- Support employee inquiries and manage benefits programs like health insurance and pensions in line with local laws.
- Work with vendors on enrollments, renewals, and payroll accuracy alongside the finance team.
- Handle employee lifecycle tasks, including onboarding, promotions, and maintaining compliant records.
- Ensure legal compliance and collaborate with regional teams on reporting requirements.
- Oversee office tasks like document handling, mail, and general administration.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 3+ years of experience in HR operations and employee benefits administration
- Proven experience in benefits management or a related field, ideally in the tech industry.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory benefits
- Professional level Japanese and English; Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Must be able to work in the office at least 3 times per week
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite; experience with payroll systems
- A deep understanding of Japanese workplace culture and practices, including hierarchies, communication styles, and social norms, including the ability to convey information clearly and effectively, and to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with HR Business Partners, Facilities teams, and other departments to achieve common goals.
