We are building the Enterprise Payments team from the ground up to help lead Toast’s expansion into enterprise customers (such as Marriott) on a global scale. This team fuels Toast’s growth by developing and supporting a robust payments foundation.

Toast is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Enterprise Payments team. You will lead a team tasked with helping to deliver the most important features for our enterprise customers and directly impact Toast’s success. You will serve as a manager for a team with a global-first mindset, tasked with building highly resilient and scalable features
You care deeply about helping the people whom you manage grow into excellent engineers and great teammates. You love developing the skills of your team, finding ways to deliver features more efficiently, and helping connect their work to Toast’s broader mission.
You are interested in technical work, with enough experience to make sure that engineers are moving in the right direction.
A typical day involves a mix of technical, strategic, and people management responsibilities. You will be conducting 1:1s with team members, reviewing PRs and design documents, and facilitating discussions across teams. Strategically, you'll collaborate with product and architectural stakeholders on roadmaps, making technical and roadmap trade-offs while prioritizing customer needs.
