- The Legal Tech team within BizTech is responsible for owning and managing all technology needs for the Legal function. As a Senior Business Solutions Engineer on this team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and managing a diverse portfolio of applications and technology solutions.

As a Senior Business Solutions Engineer within the Legal Tech team at Airbnb, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the technology landscape that powers our global Legal function. You will be the driving force behind Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and other core legal technology platforms, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business while delivering efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
Working closely with Legal stakeholders, partner teams, and engineering, you will be responsible for implementing, optimizing, and maintaining SaaS products and custom-built solutions. You will evaluate new tools, and streamline workflows that enhance collaboration, automation, and data visibility across the Legal organization.
You will partner with business leaders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions, while also mentoring peers in best practices for solution design and adoption.
This role requires you to be comfortable with navigating ambiguity, proactive in problem-solving, and thoughtful in balancing short-term needs with long-term strategy. By owning key platforms like CLM, Knowledge Management, and Document Management Systems, you will set new standards for how technology enables the Legal function at Airbnb—making processes more intuitive, data-driven, and future-ready.
A Typical Day:
- Lead multiple Legal Tech initiatives end-to-end, from discovery through delivery, by partnering with stakeholders to understand pain points, define scope, manage timelines, and drive execution.
- Act as functional owner for Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), responsible for:
- Gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements.
- Designing and configuring solutions aligned to business needs and global standards.
- Identifying and prioritizing enhancements to support scale, adoption, and future growth.
- Program manage cross-functional workstreams, coordinating dependencies, risks, and trade-offs across Legal, Product, Finance, Procurement, Tax, and Engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with DocuSign, including integration with CLM systems, template and workflow configuration, and optimization of e-signature processes to improve contracting efficiency and user experience.
- Drive process optimization by identifying gaps across legal workflows and recommending best-practice solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
- Support broader Legal Tech portfolio execution from various practice areas including AI-enabled initiatives.
- Provide clear communication and status reporting to leadership, ensuring visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes.
Your Expertise:
- 7+ years of experience working with CLM platforms, including hands-on implementation and configuration in a SaaS environment.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects or programs, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of contracting and legal operations processes, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to recommend process improvements and industry best practices, informed by CLM and SaaS trends.
- Experience implementing or partnering on AI-powered Legal solutions is highly desirable.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces, independently unblocking issues, evaluating solution trade-offs, and driving decisions forward.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to own multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across senior stakeholders.
