Role

We are looking for a Principal Information Security Engineer to join our Product Security Team. This is a hybrid role based in [MISSING: INSERT DETAIL], reporting to the Sr. Director, Information Security. You will lead the design and implementation of secure architectures for AI/ML components integrated into Zscaler's cloud security products while developing a strategic roadmap that aligns with our product vision and the evolving threat landscape.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

Lead the design and implementation of secure architectures for AI/ML components and features integrated into cloud security products

Develop a strategic roadmap for AI/ML product security that aligns with business objectives and threat evolution

Conduct specialized threat modeling for AI/ML features to identify vulnerabilities like adversarial attacks, data poisoning, and prompt injection

Perform comprehensive security risk assessments of AI/ML initiatives and drive remediation within development cycles

Collaborate with data scientists and product management to embed security controls throughout the MLOps lifecycle

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

10+ years of progressive experience in Information Security with at least 5 years in a dedicated Security Architecture role

3+ years of direct experience securing AI/ML systems and data within commercial software or large-scale SaaS offerings

Proven expertise in designing and securing large-scale distributed systems on public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP

Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, algorithms, model development lifecycles, and MLOps principles

Hands-on experience with threat modeling methodologies such as STRIDE or MITRE ATLAS for ML

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Demonstrated ability to translate complex security requirements into practical architectural designs for product teams

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and Product Managers across all levels

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a globally distributed team
