We are now looking for a high-performing Public Sector Account Executive to drive growth across NSW and Queensland State Government accounts.

Define and execute a territory strategy and account plan to drive growth across assigned NSW and Queensland State Government accounts
Build, manage, and grow a strong pipeline, consistently delivering against revenue targets
Develop and deepen executive-level relationships across government departments, agencies, and relevant ecosystem stakeholders
Lead complex, strategic sales cycles by aligning a high-performing virtual account team including Partners, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, Technical Account Managers, Renewals, Professional Services, Business Development, and more
Position Okta’s Workforce Identity and Customer Identity solutions in a way that connects clearly to customer priorities, business outcomes, and risk reduction
Drive new business while also identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Partner effectively with channel and reseller partners to strengthen account coverage and accelerate growth
Represent Okta credibly in the market as a trusted advisor and thought partner within the broader identity and security landscape
Deliver compelling presentations, business cases, and strategic customer engagements that clearly articulate Okta’s value proposition
Embody and champion Okta’s core values: Love Our Customers, Always Secure, Always On, Build and Own It, and Drive What’s Next
8+ years of field sales experience with a consistent track record of high performance
Proven success selling enterprise software, cloud, cybersecurity, or identity solutions into NSW and/or Queensland State Government
Strong understanding of state government procurement environments and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder groups and long sales cycles
Demonstrated success in new business development and strategic account growth
Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales motions across business and technical buying centres
Strong collaboration skills and experience working closely with partners, resellers, and internal cross-functional teams
Executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage confidently with senior decision-makers
Experience with consultative or solution-based sales methodologies; familiarity with MEDDPICC is advantageous
A growth mindset, curiosity, adaptability, and a strong sense of ownership
Based in Sydney or Brisbane, with the ability to travel as needed across the territory
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
