Pinterest Academy is seeking a Learning & Certification Program Manager to lead the design, development, and execution of high-impact learning and certification experiences for advertisers and agencies globally. This is a people management role, responsible for inspiring a team of instructional designers, overseeing a diverse portfolio that includes eLearning, certifications, webinars, video tutorials, and in-person training. You’ll work cross-functionally to identify learning needs, set strategic direction, and ensure our programs reflect best-in-class instructional design, industry trends, and business goals. This is a highly cross-functional role with key stakeholders in product marketing, sales, learning & development, and IT. This position will serve as a thought partner and subject matter expert within the business marketing team, driving tremendous impact alongside a small and scrappy team.
What you’ll do:
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of instructional designers and program managers, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and supportive environment.
- Lead the end-to-end design and maintenance of engaging learning and certification programs, including curriculum maps, assessments, and learner-centered content tailored for advertisers and agencies.
- Oversee the launch and evolution of certification programs, including exam development, administration, SME engagement, vendor management, and global rollout.
- Build and nurture relationships with cross-functional partners in product, sales, engineering, and marketing to ensure training solutions align with business needs and product developments.
- Drive continuous improvement using data analysis, learner feedback, and industry best practices.
- Stay ahead of trends in instructional design, ad tech, and emerging content creation tools and methods (e.g., AI, gamification,, xAPI), integrating new developments into our strategies.
- Ensure the effective management of multiple projects with varying complexity, using strong project management skills to deliver high-quality results on time.
- Communicate program requirements, progress, and impact to key stakeholders through exceptional written and verbal communications.
- Promote learning and certification programs internally and externally to maximize reach and impact.
- Leverage AI tools to personalize learning pathways, automate content creation, analyze learner data, and enhance the effectiveness and scalability of training and certification programs.
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in instructional design, learning & development, or certification program management, with at least 2 years in a people management role.
- Proven experience building and launching external eLearning and certification programs, ideally within ad tech, digital media, or marketing agency environments.
- Expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and eLearning tools (e.g., Evolve, Intellum, Caveon, Asana,,).
- Experience designing assessments and certification criteria, as well as managing vendor relationships.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, pivot, and deliver in a fast-paced, global setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and influencing skills to partner across functions and regions.
- Strategic and creative thinker who can translate complex topics into engaging, accessible learning experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., digital advertising, learning design) or equivalent experience.
