OverviewAppsFlyer is looking for a Creative Strategy Lead to join our Brand team. In this role, you will transform market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive research into sharp creative direction, empowering our creative team and marketing stakeholders to launch campaigns that truly hit the mark.
About the RoleAs a Creative Strategy Lead at AppsFlyer, you will be the connective tissue between data, strategy, and creative execution. You will lead deep research efforts, spanning market dynamics, brand values, competitor positioning, target audiences, and product differentiators and merge these into sharp, actionable insights that guide the creative team's briefs.
Beyond insight generation, you will coach and guide marketing stakeholders across the organization on how to write effective creative briefs: helping them clarify their needs, articulate pain points, and define the message they truly want to land. You will act as a strategic partner throughout the campaign development process, ensuring every creative decision is rooted in real audience understanding.
This role sits within the Brand team, working in close harmony with the Creative team and Comms team, forming a 360° unit committed to message consistency and creative excellence.
What You'll Do
Strategic Research & Insights
- Conduct ongoing market research covering industry trends, competitive landscape, target audience behavior, and product differentiators.
- Translate complex data into clear, compelling creative insights that the creative team can build campaigns on.
- Mine intelligence from diverse sources - customers, the sales team, account management, product marketing, and beyond to surface the insights that matter most.
- Develop and maintain a living insights repository that keeps the creative team informed, aligned, and inspired.
- Proactively identify opportunities for campaigns by staying close to customer stories, market shifts, and internal product milestones.
Brief Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Guide marketing stakeholders, product marketing, growth, content, CS and sales on how to write effective creative briefs, helping them sharpen their needs, define pain points, and clarify the core message to align brand messaging strategy with business priorities.
- Ensure every brief is rooted in audience insight, business context, and a clear, differentiated message before it reaches the creative team.
- Work closely with the whole brand team (Creative and Comms) to ensure message consistency across all channels and touchpoints to insure a 360° approach to brand communication.
AI-Powered Strategy & Concepting
We expect this role to be at the forefront of how AI tools are integrated into the creative strategy process - not as a shortcut, but as a genuine accelerator for thinking, exploration, and communication.
- Use AI research and listening tools to accelerate market research, competitor analysis, and audience insight generation.
- Leverage AI ideation tools to rapidly explore campaign territories, messaging angles, and creative concepts — bringing richer, more diverse options to the brief stage.
- Generate visual references using image-generation tools to communicate creative direction before a single designer touches a file.
- Stay ahead of the curve on emerging AI tools relevant to brand strategy, content creation, and campaign development, and actively bring new capabilities into the team's workflow.
What You Bring
6+ years of experience in creative strategy, brand strategy, or strategic planning in a B2B tech or SaaS environment.
- Proven expertise in market research, audience analysis, and competitive intelligence.
- Strong track record of translating research into creative briefs and campaign concepts that deliver measurable results together with the ability to synthesize multiple data sources into a single, coherent narrative that inspires action.
- Experience working with creative teams - understanding how strategists and creatives collaborate to produce great work.
- A collaborative, proactive mindset and a genuine passion for the craft of creative strategy.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills - running a workshop, challenge assumptions, and bring clarity to ambiguity.
- Familiarity with design thinking and creative process frameworks is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools for research and ideation (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude).
- Comfort working in a fast-evolving AI landscape - you experiment, you learn quickly, and you know how to apply new tools with strategic intent rather than novelty.
