Free AI mock interview, no sign-up

Pick a role, answer 3 questions by voice or text, and get a score for relevance, depth, and clarity. No account. The full report, with follow-ups and a retry plan, needs one.

1. Tell me about a piece of work you are proud of. What was hard about it?
2. Describe a time you missed a deadline. What did you tell the people waiting?
3. What is a skill you are still bad at, and what are you doing about it?

What is free, exactly

  • On this page, no account: a 3-question round for the role you pick, with a score from 1 to 5 for relevance, depth and clarity on each answer.
  • With a free account: 2 full interviews a month, 5 questions each, basic feedback, no card.
  • Pro: $20/month or $200/year, up to 20 questions per interview.
  • Credit packs: one-time, from $9 for 5 interviews.

The numbers come from the product configuration and match the pricing page.

How voice answers and follow-ups work

Press the microphone button under a question and speak. Your browser turns the speech into text, which fills the answer box so you can fix it before you score the round. The round is then scored on the text of your three answers.

Follow-up questions belong to the full interview, not this quick round. In a full interview the AI interviewer reads each answer and asks the question a real interviewer would ask next, for example when an answer names no specific example. That is why the full interview needs an account.

Microphone and browser requirements

  • A browser with speech recognition, such as Chrome or Edge. Other browsers can still type.
  • Microphone permission, granted when the browser asks. This page is allowed to request it; the rest of the site is not.
  • A quiet room. Speech recognition is a transcript, so mumbled words become wrong words.
  • Voice on this page listens for English (US). Full interviews run in 50+ languages; see the full language list.

What the feedback looks like

An illustration of the format, written from the scoring rubric. It is not a real person's result. Each answer is scored from 1 to 5 for relevance (did it answer the question), depth (a specific example, not a slogan) and clarity (could an interviewer follow it).

Question: Tell me about a time you handled a difficult stakeholder.

Relevance
4 / 5
Depth
2 / 5
Clarity
4 / 5

Summary: The answer stays on the question and is easy to follow, but it names no specific decision or result. Add the choice you made, why you made it, and one concrete outcome.

A practice tool, not a live copilot

VirtualInterview.ai does not feed you answers during a real interview. It runs and scores a rehearsal before the interview so the real one is not the first time you say your answers aloud. For the longer, voice-first version, read AI interview practice by voice, or see what the free plan includes.

Questions

Is the free AI mock interview really free?

Yes. The 3-question round on this page needs no account and no card. A free account adds 2 full interviews a month, 5 questions each, with basic feedback and no card. Pro is $20/month or $200/year, and credit packs start at $9.

Do I need a microphone?

No. You can type every answer. If you want to answer by voice, use a browser that supports speech recognition, such as Chrome or Edge, and allow microphone access when the browser asks. If voice input is unavailable the page tells you and you can type instead.

Which languages does it support?

Full interviews on a free account run in 50+ languages, chosen at setup. The quick round on this page listens for English (US) when you answer by voice; you can type an answer in any language you like.

Do I need an account?

Not for this 3-question round. A full interview, the saved report and the follow-up questions need an account. The free plan does not need a card.

Does it help during a live interview?

No. VirtualInterview.ai is a practice tool and does not feed you answers during a real interview. Use it to rehearse before the interview.
